Welcome to AL FARRAYEH LAWYERS. These Terms of Business (the “Terms”) apply to all legal services provided by AL FARRAYEH LAWYERS, whether through our website or directly through engagement with our team. By instructing us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
- Our Services
AL FARRAYEH LAWYERS provides a wide range of legal services, including but not limited to corporate and commercial law, litigation, arbitration, real estate, banking, and compliance advisory. We strive to provide high-quality, professional services tailored to meet the needs of our clients.
- Client Cooperation
To effectively carry out the legal services we provide, we require full cooperation from you and your team. This includes providing all necessary information and assistance in a timely manner. You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.
- Our Team / People Doing the Work
We will notify you at the outset of your matter about the partner(s) and/or associate(s) of the firm who will be acting on your behalf. If there are any changes during the course of your matter, we will inform you promptly. We ensure that we have the necessary expertise across various practice areas to handle your matter efficiently.
- Basis of Charges
Our fees will be discussed and agreed upon before commencing work on your matter. We may agree on an hourly rate, fixed fees, or any other structure based on the scope of the services provided. We will notify you if we anticipate any additional costs or expenses incurred during the process, and we may request a deposit or advance payment for such expenses.
- Invoicing and Payment Terms
5.1 We will issue invoices periodically, typically on a monthly basis.
5.2 Payment is due within 30 days from the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed.
5.3 If you have any concerns regarding an invoice, please raise them with the responsible partner within 15 days from the invoice date.
5.4 Failure to pay invoices within the required time frame may result in the suspension of services and retention of documents until the outstanding balance is settled.
- Sales Tax
Our services are subject to Jordanian General Sales Tax (currently at 16%). Sales tax will be reflected in our invoices and may be subject to change. We will inform you promptly of any adjustments.
- Confidentiality
We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of any information we receive in the course of providing legal services to you. This obligation will not be waived unless required by law or with your express consent.
- Conflict of Interest
We will not act on your behalf in any matter where we have a conflict of interest unless you provide written consent. We will notify you promptly if any conflict arises and take appropriate action to resolve the issue.
- Documents and Records
9.1 We retain ownership of any documents we generate as part of our legal services. However, upon your request, we will provide copies of documents relevant to your matter.
9.2 We retain client files for 10 years from the date of completion of the matter unless otherwise agreed. After this period, we may dispose of files without further reference to you.
- Third-Party Experts
We may need to instruct external experts such as accountants, consultants, or foreign counsel as part of providing our legal services. We will discuss such decisions with you in advance and agree upon any associated costs.
- Amendments to Terms of Business
We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you, and the revised Terms will apply to all future engagements with AL FARRAYEH LAWYERS.
- Resolving Problems and Disputes, Governing Law, and Jurisdiction
12.1 In the event of a disagreement or complaint regarding our services, please contact the partner in charge of your account and provide an explanation of the issue or complaint in writing. If you do not receive a response from us within seven (7) days, kindly contact our partners, Mr. Sami Al Farrayeh, directly.
12.2 If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, the dispute will be referred to arbitration in accordance with the current Jordanian Arbitration Law.
12.3 These Terms are governed by the laws of Jordan.
